I have a quick suggestion for the chatbox:
- people who are not active on the ChatBox stay guest. That way, if they want to become member, they have to start chatting. Notice: This Ad only show to guest, please register now to disappear ! Usefull Links:

There is always that good old Xat. But Xat seams to be to used. I know another chatbox comany, but I don't remember the name. Forumotion forums have build in chatboxes. But these forums are better. Hmm. Irc?
