Minecraft 1.8 update just got leaked here's a guide to install it;

Install ; http://assets.minecraft.net/1_8-pre/minecraft.jar
Install for an online server ; http://assets.minecraft.net/1_8-pre/...aft_server.jar

Now if it's installed you go to your start bar ;

Type in %appdata% and click enter you will get this screen ;

Click on .Minecraft > Bin > Make a copy of the Minecraft.jar file

and put it in a folder for Backup.

Now get the downloaded file and place it in the same folder , if it asks for overwrite then do it.

Now just run minecraft and voila!
