Default Child of Rage - 07-08-2012, 11:01 PM

Children are like sponges that absorb whatever medium we place around them.
Well nurtured they can grow to be critical pillars of society that serve as role models for others. The slightest bit of abuse and and mistreatment will have devastating and ever-lasting effects on a child- and eventually the grown adult.

With a neuroscience background you really learn to appreciate and cherish the human mind and its behavior.

I found the attached video to be a truly interesting and touching documentary and definitely recommend its viewing.

I was actually watching a documentary last week. The girl's father forced her into thinking; cops are bad, and they will capture you and torture you. And she actually attempted suicide when the police wanted to take her away from her father.

The beauty of the story is in that at she eventually acknowledges her pain and suffering and just let's everything go.

It shows that the weirdest of medical diseases can be cured with the right psychology and therapy.

Touching.

I watched the whole thing. It's really something what she did and that she had no remorse for it at that time.
At least at the end she had some regret for what she did. But I'm wondering if that was done in 89' how is he as a person now?

Props to you man for watching it all through. As for your question, " Beth Thomas grew into a mentally healthy woman. She obtained a degree in nursing and has authored a book entitled “More Than a Thread of Hope.” She and her adoptive mother Nancy Thomas established a clinic for children with severe behaviour disturbances. Nancy Thomas wrote a book entitled Dandelion on my Pillow, Butcher Knife Beneath (Coping with Personal Problems). Nancy and Beth Thomas’ website is Attachment Disorder | Nancy Thomas Parenting | Attachment.org | Reactive Attachment Disorder. "

I watched it all the way through.
This has been 1 of the worst cases of abuse I've actually ever heard. And the no remorse part, actually kinda made me feel like I was watching a scary movie.

Gotta say though. For her to regret it in a few months in a different home, that takes some will power. Very interesting video.

Horrible to see things like this, but it is truely real that things like this can happen and do pretty much everyday. Atleast she's doing alot better then when this video was produced.
